The dumbell rig is one of the top catfish rigs for use when livebaiting. The rig is designed to keep a livebait within the surface layers of the water allowing cats to attack from underneath. It is an anti tangle rig with a short hooklink, unable to tangle due to the stiff dumbell rig.

Most effective if used in warmer water conditions and in water under 10 feet deep. For fishing near the surface in deeper water use a Catocopter rig. Fish the dumbell rig on a running leger.

The large version is suitable for livebaits up to 3oz's and the Xl version for heavier baits btween 3 oz and 6 oz.

As the name suggests, this is the catfish 'version' of the carp anglers helicopter rig. Very effective sliding paternoster rig, particularly good for fishing over weed and in all depths of water. For fishing near the surface in deeper water use a Catocopter rig instead of the dumbell rigs.

Soft EVA foam balls with stiff tube inserts, ideal for buoyant rigs and popping up baits. Green. Pro Poppers are used on all Catfish Pro rigs and are included in the Catocopter and Dumbell kits.

The high density polyballs are used for lifting baits and making buoyant leger links, as well as for use as markers. The high density polystyrene is much more buoyant and tougher than ordinary polystyrene and virtually indestructable! Quantiies vary per pack with size.
