ESP Hook Links

Pure fluorocarbon not just a fluorocarbon coating. With the same light refractive index as water ESP Ghost is virtually invisible when submerged. Specific Gravity (SG) of 1.78 ensures rigs sink quickly and lie tight to the bottom. An excellent hook link material particularly for wary carp in clear water.

A combination of filaments which sinks rapidly and stays hard on the bottom without the need for putty or treatment. The loosely braided fibres provide a soft, supple feel whilst retaining a smooth round profile. Tangles are minimized due to its high density. Absence of white fleck in the weave.

E-S-P Soft Ghost is a softer, more versatile fluorocarbon which can be used on a variety of rigs and leaders.Being a pure fluorocarbon it has the same light refractive index as water making it virtually invisible. Its specific gravity of 1.78 makes it denser than water and ensures that rigs sink quickly and lie tight to the bottom.
Available in 10, 12, 15 & 18lb. 20 mtrs per spool.
These twin characteristics make E-S-P Soft Ghost an excellent hooklink or leader material particularly for wary carp in clear water. - To achieve maximum knot strength at the swivel end of the hooklink we recommend a 5 turn grinner or figure of eight loop and to attach the hook, a knotless knot or domhoff whipping knot.

Braided Dyneema with translucent polymer coating. 20 metre spools of Weed Green or Gravel Brown. Improved Colourfast core. Relatively large diameter spool avoids the introduction of tight coils which are difficult to iron out.

Two Tone is marginally finer in diameter and slightly more rigid than the original Strip Teaze. It has a tightly woven Dyneema core and a translucent polymer coating with a specific gravity of 1.25, so it sinks and lays flat along the bottom without the need for additional weight. Two Tone is nominally rated at 15lb, 20lb and 25lb and is lower in diameter than the most coated hook link braids of these breaking strains. However, with carefully tied 5 turn Grinner knots we obtained average achievable knot strengths that were way above this nominal rating.

Two Tone is a versatile hooklink material which can be used for a wide variety of rigs and bait presentations. Although the fast sink polymer coating is quite stiff, it is easy to smooth out dead straight without the need for steam. This coating can be also stripped of easily with the fingernails, without damaging the ultra fine dyneema filaments. Importantly, the extra stiffness of Two Tone means that the hook link tends to fall away from the lead fully extended and in a straight line, making the bolt rig system more efficient. The two colours of Dyneema have not only been tightly woven together but have also been semi bonded to produce a perfect round core which is extra strong.
