Featuring super slim 40t carbon with the 'Perdurable' blank finish as used on the Hi-'S' and '‘S'-Ranges, we have catered for the complete spectrum of specialist angling from the little river rod through specialist float rods to powerhouses for sorting out the strongest of Barbel.

The three rods featured are all 12 feet in length. The 1lb 8oz version is suitable for tench & bream fishing on stillwaters. For smaller rivers and clean ground this model will cope adequately, for snaggier waters and medium/ large rivers choose the 1lb 12oz which has more backbone for heavier lines & tougher conditions and is a general good all rounder.

The 2lb 4oz model is perfect for larger rivers, heavy flood conditions and very snaggy venues with heavy lines and big leads/ feeders. All three models feature Free Spirits 3 leg rings throughout, sizes as follows:
25/20/16/12/10/10/8/8/8 8 tip. Reel seat is a Fuji KDPS which will take most medium to large reels, full cork handle. A keeper ring is fitted just above the winch for 'hooking up' when on the move or when the rod is not being used.

There is also an optional quiver tip top section complete with 3 quiver tips for either model. The 1lb 8oz and 1lb 12oz both use the same quiver tip top section. The quiver tops are available separately and designed to fit across different test curves allowing you to purchase two rods of different ratings and one quiver top to fit both.

A range of specialist float rods buit to the same exacting standards you expect from Free Spirit. These 12 and 13 feet rods are built in two sections for a progressive, powerfull action with virtually no tip 'bounce' that cannot be replicated in three piece rods. 12, slightly larger than normal high stand off rings on each model to suit stronger mainlines, they are suitable for use with 2500 and 4000 sized shimano reels and small baitrunners. Cork handle finished off with a Fuji KDPS reel seat. A keeper ring is fitted above the handle for when you are on the move, or the rod is not in use.

These are powerfull float rods and will handle mainlines from 4lb up to around 12 with care. The heavier 1lb 6oz rods are perfect for barbel trotting and specimen carp, tench and bream fishing.
For smaller carp, tench, bream and commercial fisheries, choose the 1lb 2oz version which should cope with hooklengths down to 2.5lb with care. Not to be confused with run of the mill 'carp float' rods, the Specialist Advanced float rods have real backbone and stopping power.
